What was the most difficult portion of this assignment? The most difficult portion of this assignment was trying to find enough information to fill up all of the squares on our Symbaloo. I found a lot of great information, but finding the rest to fill up the squares made me really have to dig up great things to use in my lesson plan.
Give an example of at least one way you would use Symbaloo in your future classroom. I love Symbaloo! I think that this is a great website to use. I plan to use this website all of the time. I plan to use Symbaloo for a couple things. I first plan to use it for all of my favorite websites for my students. I would create a separate webmix for the websites that I use very frequently in lessons.
Identify some problems/issues that arose as a result of creating you Edmodo quiz. ( hint: the types of questions) The main issue that everyone seemed to run into was the fill in the blank questions. If the question was not exactly like the way we put it as the answer, it was wrong. I ran into the problem of trying to create a short answer question. I found it very difficult to create a short answer question using sight words. The other problem that I ran into was I had a couple questions created, but was not able to use because the option was not offered on the edmodo quiz creation. My question was, "Circle all of the words there shown below in the color blue. I then made a little word box with 12 words on it and the student would have to go find the correct word and circle it in the correct color. That would create more of a challenge because it gives them not only a sight word challenge, but also a challenge of knowing their colors.
Give your overall impression of this assignment. I really loved this assignment! I created my first lesson plan. I worked and worked to find the correct things that I wanted to use and tried to make the best questions I possibly could. I was going to test out the quiz on my cousin who is in kindergarten to make sure it was at the grade level it needed to be, but I did not see her in time to quiz her. I really loved that I made my first lesson plan and really enjoyed it. This assignment just makes me that much more excited to become a teacher.
